By the end of the module you will be able to:
- Discuss your current lesson planning strategies
Planning a lesson requires multiple considerations. As an instructor or TA, your role is to help your students learn, and this requires more than simply delivering content. Lesson planning involves integrating the new information from the classroom into your learners' wider understanding of the parts of the world that your lessons are about.
When planning lessons, it is useful to know what supports, activities, and learning processes help student learning. In this theme session, you will exploring what goes into the lesson planning process and what you can do to help learners pay attention to ‘what’, ‘how’, and ‘why’ they are learning.
Imagine you are starting to plan a new lesson, what do you do? Brainstorm some of the key questions you ask yourself and why these are key priorities.
This form is no longer active; the deadline to complete the Pre-Session Module was 8am on January 15, 2018.
